Job Summary:
Manages patient billing and payment processing. Communicate effectively with patients to help them understand their financial responsibilities and resolve payment related issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Preparing and sending patient statements, processing payments and researching refunds
· Answer patient billing questions, explain payment policies, help patient understand their financial responsibilities
· Troubleshoot and problem solve accounts
· Monitor patient accounts for overdue balances, contacting patients regarding outstanding payment and working with collections agencies.
· Maintain accurate patient account records, including billing information, payment history, and communication logs. Accurate data entry and correct spelling a must.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED
· Previous experience in medical billing, collections or similar role is required
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
· Proficiency in computer software, data entry and medical billing systems.
· A strong understanding of medical terminology, coding and insurance processes is crucial
· The ability to analyze complex billing issues and find effective solutions
