Swiss Setup Machinist
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Swiss Setup Machinist who can independently handle full machine setups, tooling, and first-article approval. Efficiency, attention to detail, and accountability are critical in this role.
Responsibilities
- Tear down fully set-up Swiss machines
- Set up and offset turning tools, live tools, and sweep in tooling
- Perform bar feeder adjustments, collet and chuck changes, and bar liner swaps
- Load programs, dry run safely, and run first-article parts
- Fully inspect parts and optimize feeds and speeds
- Maintain machines (material cutting, chip removal, fluid maintenance)
- Lead by example on the shop floor
Machines Used
- Citizen Machinery (L12, L20, A20, L32)
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
Compensation
- $25–$36/hour, based on ability, speed, attitude, and scrap rate
Requirements
- Proven Swiss-type CNC setup experience
- Resume with full employment history (no unexplained gaps)
- Verifiable references from previous employers
- Must be legally eligible to purchase and be around firearms
- ATF-regulated environment (07 FFL / 02 SOT)
- Must have 2-3 years of RECENT experience
