Diamond is currently hiring a Foreman with a proven track record in the roofing industry to join our team in Syracuse. If you possess a strong work ethic, people leadership, extensive knowledge of roofing systems, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results on time, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate, diagnose and perform leak repairs on various types of commercial roof systems.
- Perform routine roof inspections and repairs in compliance with manufacturer warranty requirements.
- Lead and train assigned helper(s) in the proper installation and repair of various types of commercial roofing and waterproofing systems (i.e. single-ply, EPDM, TPO, PVC, BUR, modified bitumen, fluid-applied, asphalt shingles, etc.).
- Survey existing roof conditions, prepare comprehensive inspection reports.
- Have the ability to work with iPad utilizing company service programs
- Comprehensive and accurate record keeping – time and materials, photos, roof condition surveys, measurements, etc.
- Perform work in accordance with job specifications, Diamond Roofing and client safety guidelines.
- Represent the company and interact with others in an honest, ethical and professional manner at all times.
Requirements:
- 10+ years verifiable roofing experience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug screening.
- In-depth knowledge of various roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Either a member of the Roofers Local 195 or willingness to join
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and minimum of OSHA-1
- Ability to safely lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and gangways on a frequent basis and be able to work while standing on a continuous basis.
- Ability to safely work aloft (heights over 20’) including ladders, man lifts, harnesses, equipment tops and scaffolding
