Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments of patient needs, including those with orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, or post-surgical conditions
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations utilizing knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to determine appropriate interventions
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy treatments such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, therapeutic exercises, and mobility training to promote recovery and functional independence
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and optimize patient outcomes
- Manage clinical documentation standards by accurately recording treatment progress in electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR) systems in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Assist with discharge planning by providing patient education on home exercises, community resources, and ongoing care strategies
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure continuous improvement and safety
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice
- Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neurology patients, and those in outpatient or inpatient settings
- Strong skills in developing effective care plans tailored to individual needs across outpatient clinics, hospital wards, home health environments, or rehabilitation centers
- Proficiency in outpatient rehabilitation techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedic interventions
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients about their treatment goals while fostering a supportive environment for recovery
- Familiarity with clinical documentation standards and managing electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems) efficiently
- Experience working within hospital settings or inpatient units with acute care experience preferred
- Knowledge of discharge planning processes and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
