Job Summary
Our client is seeking a proactive and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join thier healthcare team. Duties
- Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming upcoming visits using patient management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Serve as the main communication link between patients and healthcare providers through phone calls, emails, and in-person interactions
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with health regulation policies and HIPAA guidelines
- Assist patients with insurance verification, billing inquiries, and understanding health coverage options
- Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, document management, and preparing medical charts
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations
Skills
- Proven experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment with strong knowledge of medical terminology and health regulation policies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with patient management software or EMR/EHR systems
- Excellent phone communication skills coupled with the ability to handle client interactions with empathy and professionalism
- Knowledge of health insurance processes, billing procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to type quickly and accurately for data entry and documentation purposes
- Experience supporting medical administrative functions such as appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and electronic health records management
