We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced High School World History Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of world history. As a High School World History Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, grading assignments, and providing feedback to students. You will also be responsible for maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning.
Principal and Administrative Team
This is a full time 10-month position.
- Plan and implement a blended learning environment, providing direct and indirect instruction in World Geography based on the Louisiana Student Standards for World Geography
- Participation in all TAP requirements, focusing on data-driven instruction
- Participate in all relevant Professional Development
- Maintain high behavioral expectations for all students
- Create an inviting, exciting, innovative and engaging learning environment that develops student critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Prepare students for strong academic achievement and passing of all required assessments
- Communicate regularly with parents

- At least one (or more) of the following: National Board Certification, TAP Experience, o Core Knowledge Experience, Blended Learning Experience, At least two years of successful teaching in an urban environment
- Strong technical skills, particularly in integrating technology in the classroom to drive academic achievement
- Can demonstrate strong classroom management skills
- Demonstrated volunteer or community service
