JUNIOR CONCRETE ESTIMATOR
Seeking qualified candidate with skills related to structural concrete quantity estimating, material pricing and client communications.
Commercial / Residential projects to include foundations, retaining walls, structural deck slabs, seismic strengthening, and site work.
Must be proficient in: The ability to read, scale, and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings, perform Electronic Quantity Estimating (using OST / Quick Bid), File Downloads and Internet searches, proficient computer skills, familiarity with general material and labor pricing.
Good Communication Skills, Self Managing and Strong Work Ethic Required.
Ability to acquire material quotes for ready-mix concrete, rebar reinforcing and other concrete related supplies. Be able to review addenda, track plans and documents, and assist with bid submissions. Compiling costs for formwork, rebar, pumping, finishing, and specific requirements.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a demanding environment. This role requires entry-level (or greater) estimating skills, excellent communication, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Most communication is conducted via email, so strong written communication is essential.
- Review blueprints, plans, and bid documents to prepare accurate quantity take-off’s with On Screen Take-Off.
- Be capable in learning to Estimate labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and project timelines.
- Use Quick Bid for estimating and job costing and project tracking.
- Interpret construction drawings and specifications for commercial projects related to structural foundations, cast-in-place concrete, suspended deck slabs, seismic strengthening, and site work.
- Request and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing!
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and scope breakdowns.
- Conduct occasional site visits to assess project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to refine project scope.
- Adjust estimates based on scope changes and revisions.
- Maintain organized records of bids, proposals, and project data.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and sub-trades via email.
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong long-term client relationships.
- Mat also be called upon to support Project Managers and Field Team Members in support of overall company objectives and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience within the Construction Industry (commercial or industrial experience preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret electronic construction plans and documents.
- Proficiency with On Screen Take-off (preferred)
- Proficiency or familiarity with Quick Bid software (preferred / a definite plus!)
- Strong written communication skills and proficiency in email communication (required)
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build client relationships.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
- Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a quick-paced environment.
- Experience in structural concrete related to mixed-use projects, seismic strengthening and large structural projects is a plus.
- Familiarity or proficiency with Auto Cad or other construction software a plus!

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
Full-Time Position Available, Primarily an Office Position Located in the Temecula area with option for remote working.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
