Dencar Technology builds the point of sale systems, hardware, and integrated sales tools that power car washes across the industry. We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our team.
This is primarily a hands on build role. Most of your week goes to building and configuring network equipment and car wash controllers, then testing each build fully before it moves into production. You will work across several equipment interfaces as you build and test, and you will manage your own schedule to hit weekly build and testing targets. A smaller part of the role is support, sprinkled in around the build work: backing up our internal IT help desk, lending a hand to Quality Assurance on the production line, and occasionally helping configure equipment at customer sites. That mix can shift over time as the team's needs change, so some weeks may lean more toward support than others.
As you grow into the role, you will also train, support, and guide car wash owners, managers, and their teams on using and repairing Dencar's systems and services, along with helping car wash customers with app and account questions.
What you will do
- Build and configure network equipment and car wash controllers, and fully test each build before it reaches production
- Support Ubiquiti and TP-Link full stack networking environments, including VPN setups such as L2TP, IPsec, OpenVPN, and WireGuard
- Step in to support Quality Assurance on the production line when needed
- Provide technical help with computer hardware and software, whether by phone, in person, or online
- Resolve technical issues quickly using the resources available within the company
- Log bugs and enhancement requests
- Write and maintain quick reference guides and fixes for the support team to draw on
- Deliver introductory online training on Dencar's products and services
What we are looking for
- Self motivated and comfortable working independently, with the discipline to stay on task with little day to day supervision
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking
- Working knowledge of IT support, or a strong desire to learn
- Excellent customer service skills
- Progress toward IT certifications, an Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent real world experience
- Strong computer skills, including the Google productivity suite and Microsoft Office, with exposure to Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, and Android
