Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with the dental team to deliver high-quality services in a friendly and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
- Provide preventive dental care, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures as needed, ensuring a positive experience for young patients.
- Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans and provide support during procedures.
- Monitor and record vital signs as part of patient assessments.
- Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
- Support dental assisting duties when required, ensuring smooth office operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of general dentistry practices.
- Familiarity with medical coding and insurance processes is advantageous.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.
