Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Freelance Microsoft Access Database Programmer to join our team on a project basis. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in database design, development, and maintenance to create efficient, scalable, and user-friendly Access databases that support our operational needs. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Microsoft Access databases tailored to project specifications and user requirements
- Create intuitive user interfaces using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) to facilitate seamless data entry and retrieval
- Integrate Access databases with other systems through APIs and web services for enhanced functionality
- Develop complex queries, reports, and dashboards to provide actionable insights for stakeholders
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure database reliability and performance
- Maintain detailed documentation of database structures, workflows, and updates for future reference
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile software development methodologies to deliver timely solutions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining Microsoft Access databases in a professional setting
- Strong knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language), VBA, and relational database design principles
- Familiarity with integrating Access with other technologies such as ASP.NET, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and web development frameworks
- Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms like Azure or AWS is a plus
- Understanding of system design for system development, scalability, and distributed systems architecture
- Ability to write clean, efficient code with attention to detail; experience with version control tools such as Git or TFS preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Prior experience working within Agile software development environments is highly desirable
