American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a teaching hospital, requiring BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FHM certifications with a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) on a 36-hour weekly schedule
-
10-bed Labor & Delivery unit at a 351-licensed-bed teaching hospital
-
Patient population includes laboring patients with diagnoses such as gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and hypertension
-
RN-to-patient ratio follows AWHONN standards at 1:1 or 1:2

EMR: Epic (experience required)

Equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, GE fetal heart monitors, Novii, Neptune, Bovie, and Panda Warmers
-
Every other weekend rotation required

No floating required
-
No on-call requirements

Active NC or compact RN license required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FHM (AWHONN)

Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required, with most recent experience within the last year

Proficiency in maternal-newborn care, including labor support and delivery

At least 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
-
Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Provide care to laboring patients and support through delivery in a high-acuity L&D setting
-
Department support includes a surgical tech, charge nurse, phlebotomy services, RT available 24/7, and intensivist available 24/7 as needed
-
Fetal monitoring available on unit
-
Orientation includes NEO and 3 days of departmental training

Scrubs are provided on the unit; candidates must change in and out upon arrival and departure

Free on-campus parking available

Travelers are expected to work 75% of assigned holidays

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Former permanent employees of any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
