We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and service-focused Bartender to join our team and create exceptional craft cocktail experiences for our guests.
Position Summary
The Bartender serves as a craft cocktail expert and key ambassador of our luxury beverage program. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who combines creativity, attention to detail, and technical skill with a genuine passion for guest engagement.
The successful candidate will bring a dedication to craftsmanship, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality and beverage excellence. This position reports to the Food & Beverage Manager and Director of Food & Beverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Beverage & Cocktail Craft
- Execute luxury craft cocktail recipes with precision, speed, and consistency in presentation.
- Maintain deep product knowledge across premium spirits, craft cocktails, wine, and local offerings.
- Perform meticulous bar prep, including batching, squeezing fresh juices, and preparing custom garnishes.
- Follow established portion controls and standard recipes to ensure quality and minimize waste.
Guest Experience
- Deliver personalized, anticipatory service that exceeds guest expectations in a high-touch environment.
- Engage warmly with guests, build meaningful rapport, and foster repeat visitation.
- Present food and beverage menus with confidence, offering tailored recommendations and pairings.
- Maintain the refined ambiance, professionalism, and attention to detail expected of a luxury boutique hotel.
Bar Operations & Cleanliness
- Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing bar setup throughout service.
- Execute daily opening, shift-change, and closing duties thoroughly.
- Ensure all glassware, tools, and equipment are properly sanitized, handled, and stored.
- Support smooth room service and guest lounge beverage requests as needed.
- Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards, as well as responsible alcohol service (TIPS/ServSafe certified where applicable).
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of craft-cocktail focused bartending experience; luxury hotel, boutique hotel, or upscale cocktail bar experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in craft cocktails, classic mixology, premium spirits, and wine service.
- Exceptional communication, active listening, and guest engagement skills.
- Strong multitasking ability and composure under pressure in a refined service environment.
- Passion for hospitality, beverage culture, and creating memorable experiences.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds (e.g., cases, kegs, ice bucket loads).
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional appearance and strict adherence to company grooming standards.
