Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Full-Time Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our store, delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently handling retail sales transactions. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure a positive shopping experience for every customer.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases, ensuring a friendly and welcoming environment
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit/debit card transactions, and balancing the cash drawer at shift end
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Stock shelves and maintain clean, organized merchandising displays to improve product visibility
- Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about store offerings
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and inventory counts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred, especially in grocery or convenience store environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing registers accurately
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and grocery store operations is beneficial
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
