Pay:
- $18.00 to $22 per hour
- PLUS 5% Commission on Drayage Base Rate (Commission calculated on the drayage linehaul/base rate only. Fuel surcharge, chassis, detention, storage, and other accessorial charges are excluded.)
We are currently seeking reliable Local CDL Class A Drivers with container drayage/intermodal experience to join our growing team.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- Home Daily
- Weekends Off (when freight volume allows)
Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Safely operate tractor and chassis equipment.
- Properly utilize ELD devices.
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of assigned equipment.
- Pick up and deliver containers to and from rail terminals, ports, and customer locations.
- Basic knowledge of rail interchange procedures.
- Ensure accurate paperwork and container documentation.
- Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Provide professional customer service.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid CDL Class A License.
- Minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Previous intermodal/container drayage experience preferred.
- Clean driving record.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to safely operate tractor-trailer equipment in various weather and traffic conditions.
