Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the RV repair facility, ensuring efficient workflow, exceptional customer service, high-quality repairs, and profitable business performance. This role manages technicians, service advisors, inventory, scheduling, and operational processes to maximize productivity while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the RV repair facility.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Monitor shop productivity, labor utilization, and workflow management.
- Ensure repair jobs are completed on time and meet company quality standards.
- Coordinate scheduling of repairs, maintenance, inspections, and warranty work.
Team Leadership
- Supervise service advisors, technicians, parts personnel, and support staff.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate employees.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans.
- Manage staffing schedules and labor resources.
Customer Service
- Ensure customers receive professional, timely, and accurate communication.
- Resolve customer concerns and escalated service issues.
- Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and implement improvements.
- Maintain strong relationships with RV owners, vendors, and insurance providers.
Inventory & Vendor Management
- Oversee parts ordering, inventory control, and stock management.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure availability of parts and materials required for repairs.
- Control purchasing costs and minimize inventory shortages.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain facility cleanliness and organization.
- Enforce company policies and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications Required
- 5+ years of operations, service management, or automotive/RV industry leadership experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience in RV repair, automotive service, marine service, heavy equipment, or related industries.
- Knowledge of RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, appliances, and structural repairs.
- ASE, RVTI, or other industry certifications.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a repair facility environment.
- Frequent walking throughout the shop and yard.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
