OUTPATIENT NEUROLOGIST – FIXED-TERM (3–6 MONTH COVERAGE) – FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME

POSITION SUMMARY
Texas Institute for Neurological Disorders (TIND) is the largest private practice neurology group in North Texas, with 13 clinics across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the Texoma corridor into Southern Oklahoma. We are seeking a Neurologist for a defined 3–6 month engagement to provide outpatient coverage during a planned physician leave. Full-time or part-time schedules are both available within this engagement. This is an excellent fit for a neurologist seeking short-term, flexible clinical work – including physicians semi-retired or transitioning between practices who want meaningful part-time or full-time work without a long-term commitment.
Neurology experience with an established outpatient panel is preferred, and our team provides full clinical and administrative support so you can step in with minimal onboarding burden.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Maintain continuity of care for an existing outpatient panel during the coverage period, including follow-up visits and ongoing disease management
● Conduct outpatient evaluations for general neurology conditions, including headaches, stroke, seizure disorders, Parkinson's disease, and memory loss
● Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies (EEG, imaging, laboratory testing) to support diagnosis and treatment planning
● Prescribe and manage medications, monitoring efficacy and side effects over the course of treatment
● Counsel patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and disease management
● Refer patients to TIND subspecialists (Movement Disorders, Neuromuscular, Epilepsy, Pediatrics) or outside services as clinically appropriate
● Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record
● Partner with front office, clinical, and nursing staff to support efficient clinic flow at assigned location(s)
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
● Successful completion of an accredited Neurology Residency Program in the U.S.
● Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
● Active, unrestricted Texas medical license and DEA registration, or ability to obtain prior to start
● Comfortable stepping into an established patient panel with minimal ramp-up time
● Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills
Preferred
● Open to physicians coming out of retirement or seeking flexible short-term work
● Prior experience in outpatient neurology or a related specialty
● Comfort with or interest in learning eClinicalWorks; prior system experience is a plus, and training is provided
● Flexibility to negotiate a full-time or part-time schedule within the 3–6 month term to fit your availability
