Job Summary
Caring Crew LLC is seeking a compassionate and reliable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapy services at a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in New York. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity offering flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.
The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to help residents improve functional independence, enhance activities of daily living (ADLs), and achieve their highest level of function.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services to SNF residents.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Document treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate resident progress and changes with the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team.
- Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and safety techniques.
- Maintain compliance with all facility policies and state/federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Active New York Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- SNF or geriatric experience preferred, but motivated new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the therapy team.
