About Meridian Medical Group:
We are a physician-led, rapidly growing multi-site and multi-specialty medical group in Maryland with established Primary care, Pulmonary medicine, Sleep Medicine, Nephrology, behavioral health, diagnostics, and imaging infrastructure. We are formally launching a cardiology service line and are recruiting a founding non-invasive cardiologist to help build and lead this division.
This is not a coverage role. This is a platform-build opportunity within a group that already controls patient flow, referrals, diagnostics, and technical revenue.
The Opportunity:
The incoming cardiologist will serve as the founding cardiologist within the group’s cardiology service line, with immediate access to a large, internally generated referral base and fully built outpatient diagnostic capabilities. The role is designed for autonomy, growth, and long-term upside.
Clinical Scope:
- Outpatient general and preventive cardiology
- Risk stratification, hypertension, lipid management, CAD
- Echocardiography (on-site, available day one)
- Stress testing (on-site)
- EKG interpretation
- Longitudinal patient management within an integrated system
No inpatient call. No hospital employment bureaucracy.

- Embedded primary care referral network
- On-site echocardiography and stress testing from day one
- Dedicated clinical and administrative support
- Integrated behavioral health and chronic disease management
- EMR and workflows designed for efficiency and throughput
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive guaranteed base salary
- Productivity-based incentive structure with clear upside
- Total compensation typically exceeds $500,000 for productive physicians
- Outpatient-only practice with no inpatient call

Location:
Silver Spring and Upper Marlboro, Maryland (multi-site outpatient model)
Pay: $350,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
