· Champion Safety: Administer and enforce the company safety program, perform safety audits, and emphasize a culture of safety and accountability across all crews.
· Plan & Prioritize Work: Direct elevator installation activities, plan manpower needs, and manage scheduling through project management software and other tools to optimize efficiency and productivity.
· Ensure Profitability: Review job performance and accounting reports to identify risks and opportunities, reporting fade issues prior to revenue recognition.
· Manage Subcontractors: Oversee subcontractor schedules, quality, and performance on turn-key projects, ensuring all deliverables meet expectations.
· Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with owners, general contractors, consultants, and architects to ensure smooth project execution and repeat business.
· Handle Project Documentation & Approvals: Review and sign off on change orders, purchase orders, turnover authorizations, accounts receivable items, write-offs, credits, and other necessary approvals.
· Stay Current & Compliant: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements. Attend company training sessions, utilize SOP documentation, and stay informed on equipment and supplier updates.
· Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with corporate departments, including factory coordination, labor, and regional operations, to ensure alignment on schedules, materials, and production standards.
· Resolve Issues: Mediate and resolve both internal and external challenges, including field or union-related concerns. Foster strong communication and positive labor relations.
· Manage Materials & Resources: Determine and coordinate all materials, tools, and subcontracting needs to ensure timely job completion.
· Field Presence: Conduct weekly crew visits and first-day site reviews to monitor safety, project progress, and customer satisfaction — documenting findings and following up as necessary.
What You Bring to the Team:
· 2+ years of management experience in a field service or construction environment, or equivalent combination of education and hands-on leadership experience
· Strong knowledge of the construction and elevator industries
· Ability to interpret technical documents, blueprints, and diagrams
