Divisional Controller

We are currently seeking an experienced Divisional Controller to join our team. This high-impact role is responsible for the financial leadership of a 10+ branch division operating across 5 states. The Divisional Controller will oversee regional accounting functions, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide actionable financial insights to drive growth and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all financial operations within the division, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure accuracy of multi-entity financial consolidations and reporting.
- Monitor and manage divisional cash flow and working capital.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements and performance metrics.
- Own the annual budgeting process and deliver ongoing financial forecasting.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls and financial policies.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and coordinate with external auditors.
- Provide timely financial guidance to senior leadership and support strategic initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor regional finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and executive leadership to support divisional goals.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or controller role.
- Proven experience overseeing multi-location operations with $50M+ in annual revenue.
- Residential service industry experience required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory reporting, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, ServiceTitan, and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed to support regional operations.
