Responsibilities:
- Provide a wide range of hair styling services to clients, including cutting, coloring, and styling
- Stay up-to-date with current hair trends and techniques
- Consult with clients to understand their hair goals and recommend suitable styles
- Perform hair treatments such as deep conditioning and scalp massages
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Sanitize tools and equipment regularly to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- Educate clients on proper hair care and recommend products for at-home maintenance
- Build and maintain a loyal client base through exceptional customer service
- Utilize salon software (such as MINDBODY) to manage appointments, track client information, and process payments
Qualifications:
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist, with a strong portfolio of previous work
- Proficiency in a variety of hair styling techniques, including straight razor cutting, color theory, and hair extensions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs
- Strong retail sales skills to promote salon products and increase revenue
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
