A new Southern Soul Food restaurant near the Polaris area is looking for an experienced Lead Soul Food Cook to join our team!
Position: Lead Soul Food Cook
Pay: $18–$24 per hour (based on experience) Location: Polaris Area – Columbus, Ohio
Qualifications & Responsibilities:
Minimum 1 years of restaurant cooking experience Previous soul food cooking experience strongly preferred Ability to prepare high-quality meals with consistency and attention to detail Ability to lead by example and assist with training kitchen staff Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen Assist with food prep, inventory, kitchen organization, and daily operations Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds ServSafe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for great food
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
