We're looking for a reliable, motivated Maintenance Technician to help maintain our vacation rental properties. If you're a problem solver who takes pride in quality work and enjoys a variety of tasks, we'd love to hear from you! We are looking for people who can work in Surfside Beach, SC area, Myrtle Beach, SC area and North Myrtle Beach/Loris, SC area.
This is not a traditional 9–5 position. Applicants must be available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities utilizing the Breezeway App, an application integrated with our reservations system.
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly and professionally addressing tenant or client concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations within the facility.
- Execute painting, patching, and caulking tasks.
- Install door locks and balcony door handles.
- Replace garbage disposals.
- Perform changeouts of shower valves, faucets, and valve stems.
- Address issues with toilet components, including fill valves, flappers, wax rings, and flanges.
- Clear clogged drains.
The ideal candidate should possess a basic understanding of general maintenance tasks such as:
- Programming TV remotes.
- Replacing televisions.
- Installing blinds.
- Performing painting and patching.
- Complete work orders using the Breezeway app.
- Deliver excellent customer service while keeping properties guest-ready
Occasional appliance and furniture change-outs will also be required.
Qualifications
- Maintenance experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout the day
Requirements
- Pass a background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Truck or work van with basic tools
- Ability to use Microsoft Teams for daily communication
Pay
Competitive pay based on experience.
