Summary/Objective
HPP Food Services is a leading toll processor for fresh food/beverage products that are manufactured for High Pressure Processing. The company has an amazing opportunity with benefits for a Jr. Engineer in the Wilmington area. This is an entry level position and is an exciting opportunity for an individual with Mechanical, Electrical Industrial or Process Engineering Degree, or related field, to join our Company.
This position’s primary role will be to lead maintenance systems, oversee the continuous improvement of the production processes and execute long-term strategic plans. Works and collaborates with staff to maintain our equipment and facility in good condition and improve our business.
Responsibilities and duties
- Analyze existing processes and work with management to improve process flows, reduce operational expenses and increase productivity
- Coordinates activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability and minimize cost
- Help create and manage procedures and systems to control and maintain our equipment and parts
- Participate in the design and implementation of automation projects
- Manage and help perform equipment PMs
- Help implement safety policies and procedures
- Drafts and designs layout of equipment and materials
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
- No previous experience required
- Hands-on skills
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
