The overnight Foot Patrol Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property. This role involves patrolling the premises, monitoring hotel activity, responding to incidents, and enforcing hotel policies while delivering excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol hotel property, including guest floors, parking areas, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
- Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to guest and employee concerns, disturbances, or emergencies.
- Enforce hotel policies and procedures in a professional and respectful manner.
- Provide assistance during medical emergencies, evacuations, or safety incidents.
- Complete detailed incident and daily activity reports.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
- Ensure only authorized individuals access restricted areas.
- Assist with crowd control during events or high-occupancy periods.
- Support loss prevention efforts and protect hotel assets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous security or hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Basic computer skills for report writing and surveillance systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds if needed.
- Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Shifts are M-F but must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Outdoor and indoor work environment with varying conditions.
