Dick Anderson Construction is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Full-Time Project Engineer to join our Civil team in Libby, MT.
This position plays a key role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects by assisting with project documentation, cost tracking, scheduling, procurement, and communication throughout all phases of construction. The Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, owners, architects, and internal teams to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities Include:

Work with PM, Superintendent, and Estimating to develop the baseline schedule

Establishing, maintaining, conducting, and enforcing detailed procedures for the submittal, review, coordination, approval, and distribution of shop drawings and samples

Establish and maintain all project engineering files relating to subcontracts, plans, specifications, changes, clarifications (RFI’s) and as-built documents

Managing the procurement process for long lead time materials and equipment
-
Recommending and drafting change orders; Reviewing subcontractor change order requests

Reviewing timecards and production rates with PM and Superintendent

Tracking project budgets and proposing value engineering opportunities

Good customer relations. Work in a collaborative manner with the Owner, Subcontractors, Design Teams, and Vendors

Coordination of tool and equipment tracking procedures

Coordinate deliveries of equipment and materials with the baseline schedule and the Superintendent's needs

Obtain required permits
-
Provide survey and machine control support to crews as required

Assist Estimating department as requested

Other duties as assigned by Project Manager
Qualifications:

Engineering or related degree and 1-3 years of experience in heavy construction or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to read and understand specifications and interpret construction drawings

Display an uncompromising focus on safety by properly following company policies and government regulations for safe working procedures and protection of the environment

Attention to detail and highly organized

Ability to deliver detailed written and oral instructions

Technology literate – ability to operate computers, tablets, and smartphones. Utilize software including Microsoft Office; Procore, CAD and HCSS experience preferred

Must require minimal supervision

Display a professional and courteous attitude to clients, designers, co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times
