Position Summary: The Guest Relations staff are responsible for the night by night operations at Safe Harbor emergency shelter. Their primary role is to be actively engaged with shelter guests and volunteers providing a safe, respectful, environment.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Support the mission and vision of Staff Harbor of Grand Traverse
- Perform work in accordance with Safe Harbor policies/procedures
- Attend monthly staff meetings
- Complete all required trainings as assigned by management
- Conduct day-to-day operations of the shelter
- Serve as the main point of contact for guest issues
- Model best practices per training
- Complete all digital documentation accurately and completely per protocol
- Support and train volunteers per direction of supervisor/lead.
- Support and assist in all community services present.
- Other duties as assigned
Educations/certifications:

- CPR certification (provided)
- Narcan training (provided)
- 1 to 2 years experience working with persons experiencing homelessness preferred
- Mental Health First aid certification (provided)
- Non-violent crisis intervention training and certification (provided)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.50 per hour
