Our office is seeking an enthusiastic and personable Registered Dental Assistant with experience in oral surgery. The ideal candidate should be a team player with a strong work ethic, a relaxed attitude, and a commitment to providing quality care while being able to handle multiple tasks. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple providers and have a desire to learn and grow within the practice.
The candidate should be able to confidently provide exceptional preoperative and postoperative care for our patients. Responsibilities will include preparing patients for surgery, assisting the surgeon during procedures, and demonstrating a thorough understanding of anesthesiology, sterilization techniques, and patient safety.
Requirements for this position include a minimum of 2 years of surgical assisting experience as an RDA, knowledge of the WinOMS system, and certification in nitrous oxide monitoring. While it is recommended, DAANCE certification is not required. The candidate should also have experience with sterilization, X-ray equipment (such as Nomad and iCAT), robotic guided surgery, implant systems and protocols, treatment planning, and various surgical procedures (such as extractions, grafting procedures, implant surgery, biopsies, sinus augmentations, and trauma). Additionally, the candidate should be skilled in patient education, including preoperative and postoperative instructions and procedure education.
Responsibilities will include assisting with patient preparation for dental procedures, providing assistance during dental surgery, assisting with anesthesia administration and monitoring vital signs, assisting with post-operative care, maintaining and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
