~ Position Overview
Water Mitigation Technicians will play a hands-on role in emergency water mitigation, mold remediation, and property restoration. Qualified individuals will take a lead on jobs and support team development.
Responsibilities
- Identify source of loss and prepare scope of work.
- Communicate with all interested parties, including but not limited to property owners and insurance adjusters.
- Oversee emergency water extraction services.
- Clean up and debris removal of drywall, cabinetry, and flooring that may be damaged and perform demolition tasks.
- Responsible for the setup of emergency services equipment.
- Effectively supervise crew members and other employees on job sites.
- Adheres to EPA, OSHA and local requirements regarding safety and hazardous materials handling.
- Direct the teams in the use of the right PPE for the job.
- Review the daily requirements of projects, document progress.
- Perform daily inspections of vehicle safety and maintenance and keep these clean and in perfect conditions of use.
- Responsible for your truck and a helper (when required).
Must Haves
- Water mitigation experience and at least one industry reference.
- Experience using water mitigation software.
- Understanding of basic mitigation safety.
- Ability to effectively use communication devices and technology.
- Excellent problem solving, leadership and both written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with time constraints to meet specific deadlines.
- Ability to travel and work at night and during weekends.
- Deep knowledge of the principles and practices of customer service.
- Ability to interpret mold assessment protocols for remediation work.
~ Experience & Skills
- 1–3+ years in water mitigation/restoration
- IICRC certifications preferred (WRT, ASD, AMRT a plus)
- Ability to lead crews and communicate effectively with homeowners
- Must be reliable, positive, and hungry to contribute
All candidates should have:
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong work ethic and team-first mindset
