Duties
- Safely operate various vehicles
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at multiple retail stores or customer locations.
- Load and unload merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques, maintaining organization and safety standards.
- Engage with customers professionally to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and build strong client relationships.
- Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, utilizing sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while complying with organizational policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance needs to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation, with a valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type.
- Knowledge of route driving, merchandising, and retail store operations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations governing commercial truck driving is preferred.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage schedules, deliveries, and documentation efficiently.
- Previous experience in retail store environments or customer service roles is a plus.
