Duties
- Cook pizzas using various techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and baking to achieve optimal flavor and texture
- Ensure food safety sanitizing procedures are strictly followed to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes or modifications based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
- Handle food production in high-volume settings while adhering to recipe adherence and portion control guidelines
- Support the overall food handling process by practicing proper knife skills, food safety management, and food industry best practices
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary aide roles or culinary positions within restaurant or food service environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in high-volume production settings
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
- Proven ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent knife skills with attention to detail in ingredient preparation
- Background in fine dining or catering experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
