Responsibilities
- Assists in the inspection, preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of wastewater treatment plant equipment, including pumps, valves, mechanical screens, conveyors, blowers, compressors, engines, HVAC systems, piping, and related mechanical systems.
- Assists in diagnosing equipment malfunctions, evaluating failures, and performing corrective maintenance to ensure the reliable operation of plant machinery and equipment.
- Assists in the fabrication, modification, and rebuilding of equipment and components, including pump assemblies, supports, bases, railings, grating covers, guards, and other plant infrastructure.
- Performs machine shop and metalworking activities, including welding, brazing, cutting, grinding, tool fabrication, and operation of shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses, power saws, and welding equipment.
- Assists in maintaining plant buildings, vehicles, and mobile equipment and performs carpentry, plumbing, concrete repair, and other facility maintenance tasks as required.
- Maintains maintenance records, prepares time and equipment reports, assists in identifying and obtaining replacement parts, and supports the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities.
- Follows all applicable safety procedures and regulations, including those related to confined spaces, hazardous chemicals, biohazards, and equipment operation; maintains clean and orderly work areas and performs related duties as assigned.
Experience
- One year experience with industrial mechanical maintenance, including but not limited to industrial pumps, engines, motors, conveyance equipment or plumbing.
- Knowledge of diagnostics, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for troubleshooting purposes
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Possession of an appropriate level motor vehicle operator license issued with the ability to be covered under plant insurance policy at time of appointment and maintain the license during the entire length of appointment.

Pay: $25.66 - $29.66 per hour
