Process Safety Management Supervisor
Location: Mobile, AL Area
Pay Range: $160-170k
Bonus paid out quarterly
A leading industrial manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Process Safety Management Supervisor to lead and strengthen its Process Safety Management program across a large-scale manufacturing operation. This leadership role is responsible for driving PSM compliance, leading audits, identifying operational risks, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee Process Safety Management (PSM) audits and compliance initiatives.
- Evaluate process safety programs, risk controls, and management systems to ensure regulatory and operational excellence.
- Analyze incident trends, risk assessments, and safety performance data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Review audit findings, provide practical recommendations, and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.
- Partner with engineering, operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to strengthen process safety programs.
- Mentor and develop safety professionals while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Stay current on OSHA PSM standards, industry best practices, and emerging safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in industrial health and safety, including at least 5 years in Process Safety Management.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA PSM, risk management principles, and safety management systems.
- Experience within heavy industrial manufacturing, steel, chemical, oil & gas, mining, or similar process industries.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- ISO 45001 Auditor certification and SAP experience are preferred.
