Position Overview
At MCE, you’re not just another Tower Technician, you’re part of a team building real infrastructure with opportunities to grow. As a Tower Technician, you will support ground-up projects across telecommunications, civil, and electrical scopes. This role is critical to keeping job sites productive, organized, and moving forward.
You will own the site, run the crew, and also be the primary client contact.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead daily field operations and direct tower crews.
· Plan daily work activities and assign responsibilities.
· Conduct daily job hazard analyses and safety briefings.
· Serve as the primary onsite contact for customers, construction managers, and project stakeholders.
· Oversee installation of antennas, RRUs/RRHs, coaxial, hybrid, and fiber systems.
· Manage material ordering.
· Ensure proper grounding, weatherproofing, equipment installation, and cable management.
· Verify sweep testing and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing meet project requirements.
· Review and approve close-out documentation and photo packages.
· Ensure compliance with carrier standards, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
· Mentor and develop junior technicians.
· Manage project schedules, productivity, quality, and daily reporting.
· Perform final site walkthroughs and project sign offs.

Requirements
· 3+ years of telecommunications tower experience.
· Previous experience leading tower crews or serving as a Foreman.
· Extensive knowledge of wireless site construction practices.
· Strong understanding of sweep testing, PIM testing, grounding, and close-out procedures.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
· Travel required throughout California. Most work is in Southern California; some projects are in Northern California and require overnight or multi-night stays. Per diem and lodging provided on out-of-town work
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
· Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Tower Climber/Rescue Certification
- Class A is a plus
