Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Person to join our team at Comfort Inn by Choice Hotels. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance practices. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel facilities are in optimal condition.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify issues and areas for improvement.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities using CMMS or other tracking systems.
- Assist with renovations and upgrades as needed, including painting and minor repairs.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules without disrupting guest services.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies during all maintenance activities.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members when necessary.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
- Basic welding skills are a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in a team environment.
- Familiarity with CMMS software is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
