Job Description
Are you a high-energy, exceptionally communicative youth advocate who thrives in the field rather than behind a desk? The I.D. Movement is seeking a dedicated, highly responsive Youth Program Facilitator & Community Outreach Specialist to spearhead the direct execution and community-wide expansion of the Ohio Personal Responsibility and Education Program (PREP) across our designated District 3 territory.
Because our target footprint covers a multi-county area, this position is ideal for a self-motivated professional based in Cleveland who can expertly plan and execute high-impact, multi-day travel blocks into regional hubs.
We are looking for someone with an active, existing blueprint for community engagement—someone who can confidently bridge the gap between our programmatic goals and local leaders, juvenile justice systems, alternative education networks, and foster care facilities.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations1. Front-Line Classroom Facilitation
- Deliver the approved, evidence-based Ohio PREP curriculum with 100% instructional fidelity.
- Instruct diverse cohorts of at-risk and high-need youth (ages 14–21) in foundational life skills, including Healthy Relationships, Financial Literacy, and Educational/Career Success.
- Maintain excellent group accountability, classroom management, and student retention across all programmatic sessions.
2. Strategic Community Outreach & Relationship Building
- Actively identify, establish contact with, and secure long-term partnerships with regional community leaders, alternative middle/high schools, juvenile detention facilities, and foster care congregate group homes.
- Build a thriving pipeline of recurring youth cohorts to meet and exceed annual grant completion targets.
- Serve as the visible, trusted face of The I.D. Movement within institutional and community spaces.
3. Flawless Communication & Data Collaboration
- Ultra-Responsive Communication: Maintain a strict standard of prompt, professional responsiveness via text, phone, and email with institutional partners, youth clients, and our administrative leadership team.
- Partner seamlessly with our dedicated Data Management Consultant to ensure 100% collection compliance for baseline federal entry/exit surveys and daily feedback "exit tickets" in the field.
4. Travel Logistics & Compliance
- Execute a dynamic "block-scheduling" travel model, grouping interactive classroom cohorts into intensive 2-to-3-day regional trips to optimize impact and minimize travel fatigue.
- Attend all mandatory state training infrastructure, including annual multi-day state conferences and monthly second-Thursday planning syncs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of direct-service experience working with adolescents, specifically youth within juvenile justice settings, drop-out recovery schools, foster care networks, or high-risk urban communities.
- Community Connections: Demonstrated ability to network with and win the buy-in of local community stakeholders, facility directors, and school administrators.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional public speaking, written messaging, and active listening skills. You must be comfortable presenting to both a room of intense teenagers and a board of county executives.
- Contractual Readiness: Clear understanding of operating as a full-time 1099 independent contractor (responsible for your own health insurance and self-employment taxes).
- Mobility: Must possess a valid driver’s license, a highly reliable vehicle, and full willingness to execute consecutive-day regional travel blocks from Cleveland.
- Onboarding Requirement: Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check and complete the state-mandated Train-the-Trainer Facilitator Certification immediately upon contract award.
Why Work With Us?
- High-Impact Mission: Directly elevate, resource, and mentor the youth who need it most.
- Autonomy: Enjoy the freedom and schedule flexibility that comes with an independent contractor role, backed by a strong internal data support framework.
- Competitive Flat-Rate Pay: A steady, premium annual flat-contract payout of $72,000 distributed in predictable monthly milestones.
Pay: From $72,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
