Job Overview
The award-winning San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is seeking a Facilities Tech. This position is integral to the proper operations of the Museum and the exhibition program. The Facilities Tech assists with all aspects of the maintenance, safety and security of Museum properties, including buildings and grounds, event setup, and some aspects of exhibitions planning and installation.
The primary duties include performing maintenance on the Museum’s buildings and equipment, interfacing with contractors and service providers, maintaining inventories of electronic and A/V equipment, security systems, and communications systems. This position also works closely with the IT support team to assist in solving technical issues. The Tech will also help in keeping the museum grounds presentable, assisting with event setup and tear down. The ideal candidate will have an interest in art, enjoys planning displays, installing art and lighting. This individual is detail-oriented and organized.
The Museum’s Facilities Tech has a good disposition and works well in a team. The Facilities Tech is available to accommodate the Museum’s operating needs and helps advance the Museum’s mission.

The Museum Facilities Tech works directly under the supervision of the Facilities Manager.
This position is Part-Time: 20-35/hrs per week (varies); weekdays and some weekends
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school diploma.
· One year of experience working in facilities maintenance or exhibitions.
· Demonstrable basic knowledge of plumbing, mechanics, electrical services, and repair.
· Can lift and move heavy objects safely and with care.
