Job Description Summary
The Warehouse Operator performs a variety of routine shipping, receiving, production and housekeeping tasks.
Essential Functions
- Ability to effectively communicate with all personnel
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions relating to the operation
- Ability to operate a variety of equipment such as simple hand tools and hand-powered hydraulic material handling devices
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the tasks and responsibilities of the job.
- Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to finger in order to handle objects and controls
- Ability to reach above shoulders, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to navigate stairs and ladders throughout the facility
- Ability to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds
- Ability to push/pull material handling equipment up to a 2000 pound load
Specific vision requirements of the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Minimum Qualification and Experience
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience preferred
Previous forklift experience preferred

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing tasks and responsibilities of the job.
The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts in wet humid conditions, varying temperatures, and in proximity to cleaning chemicals, fumes, and air-born particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and sources of vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Protective Equipment: Employees must wear personal protective equipment, as required, which could include an assigned work uniform, hair and beard net, safety glasses, designated shoes, and ear protection.
Additional equipment may be required to follow all safety rules and procedures by working safely and ensuring the safety others.
