Job Summary:
The Clinic Pod Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations within assigned clinic pods, ensuring a smooth flow of patient care and efficient clinic functioning. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to troubleshoot operational issues. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with staff and providers to maintain high standards of patient care and clinic performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Flow Management:
· Oversee the daily operations to ensure clinics run on time and that no patients are missed.
· Monitor patient flow and address any delays, informing the front office and patients as needed.
-Provider Consultation:
· Consult with providers regarding operational challenges, such as equipment malfunctions, and determine the best course of action for clinic and patient management.
· Communicate effectively to ensure providers are informed of any changes that may impact their schedules.
- Equipment Management:
· Report equipment issues and necessary repairs to the Director of Clinical Operations and/or Practice Administrator promptly.
· Work with technical support to resolve machine downtimes with minimal disruption to patient care.
-Staff Verification:
· Verify staff arrivals and lunch breaks, ensuring adequate coverage throughout the day.
· Manage end-of-day staff departures to ensure all roles are accounted for.
- Break Coverage:
· Ensure that coverage is provided for staff breaks to maintain clinic operations and patient flow.
-Float Coordination:
· Ensure that float staff are effectively integrated into all clinics and are working equally across pods.
· Provide guidance and support to float staff to enhance their performance and adaptability.
- Opening/Closing Procedures:
· Confirm that all opening and closing procedures are followed, including the proper handling and maintenance of instruments and equipment.
· Ensure that all necessary protocols are adhered to for patient safety and clinic compliance.
Qualifications:
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or training in a healthcare-related field preferred.
· Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Skills:
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to problem-solve and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
· Familiarity with medical equipment and sterilization processes.
· Working Conditions:
· May require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials.
· Work in a clinical environment, interacting with patients, staff, and medical professionals.
