Have you ever felt the desire to educate the next generation of nurses? Athena Career Academy has been under new Nursing Leadership since Summer of 2025 and is looking for faculty for the classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
Classroom:
We currently have openings for medical surgical courses in our PN program. Nurses with an ASN or higher may teach this course. The courses run two to three days a week during daytime hours.
Clinical:
We currently have openings for PN and RN clinical faculty both daytime and evening hours. Many of our clinical rotations take place in a local hospital setting although some of our PN rotations are scheduled in long term care or rehab facilities. Most rotations are 8h shifts. Nurses with an ASN may teach in the PN clinicals and nurses w/ a BSN or higher may teach in both our PN and RN clinicals.
Lab:
We have recently expanded our skills lab and are looking for faculty to teach skills during scheduled classes and to staff open lab. Nurses with an ASN may teach in the PN labs and nurses w/ a BSN or higher may teach in both our PN and RN labs.
Part time hours are available in all rolls. Full time clinical faculty role is also available. Full time positions with a mix of classroom, lab, and clinical also available.
Nurses without previous teaching experience are welcome! We are experienced in orienting nurses new to education. All applicants must have the following qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse
- Have worked patient care as RN for a minimum of 24 months
- Must have a non-restricted Ohio Nursing license (willing to help you obtain this license if you are licensed in another state)
Pay is based on highest degree level and any previous teaching experience. There is a potential for a bonus for completing clinical rotations based on the rotation.
