We are seeking a self-motivated Structural Engineer with experience in structural design to join our engineering team. This role works collaboratively with designers and engineers to develop structural solutions, ensure code compliance, and support successful project execution from concept through completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support structural steel design, including building structures and foundation systems.
- Design and engineer structural components and systems for various projects.
- Perform engineering calculations to ensure proper structural integrity and component performance.
- Develop specifications to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.
- Apply knowledge of modern manufacturing and fabrication techniques in structural designs.
- Review and verify structural drawings for completeness, accuracy, and constructability.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and design teams to support project execution.
- Assist with defining project scope and developing structural and civil budget estimates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam required.
- Basic knowledge of building construction and structural systems.
- Structural design experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to research and solve complex problems independently.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and procedure manuals.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and sound engineering judgment.
- Experience with structural engineering software such as RISA-3D, RAM Advanse/Elements, CASTA, or MBS is a plus.
