Alwan and Sons Meat Company is a family owned and operated company that has been serving the Peoria area for over 60 years. Alwans is the oldest Butcher Shop still operating in the Peoria area. Our Butchers have over a 100 years of combined experience. We sell only the finest cuts of fresh meats as well as premium deli meats and cheeses. Our knowledgeable and courteous staff provides our customers and community with the best service imaginable.
We are currently looking to expand our team. If you are hardworking, energetic, and like to work with people in a positive fast pace environment, then we may have a place for you on our team.
This position will be 40 hours a week. The schedule is 11am to 7pm Monday through Saturday. the store is closed on Sunday. One day through the week between Tuesday and Thursday will be a day off.
Requirements:
- Must be energetic and have a positive attitude
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have good verbal communication skills
- Must be able to deal directly with customers
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be able to work with a team as well as independently
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be at least 18 years of age
