About the Firm
Adinolfi, Roberto & Burick, P.A. is an established matrimonial and family law firm serving clients throughout New Jersey from our Mount Laurel office. Our practice is devoted exclusively to family law — divorce, custody and parenting time, child and spousal support, equitable distribution, domestic violence, and post-judgment enforcement and modification. We handle complex, high-conflict, and financially significant matters, and we are known in the Family Part for preparation, credibility, and results.
We are a firm where attorneys have real ownership of their cases and direct access to partners who will invest in their development. We are hiring a Senior Associate to carry an independent docket and help lead the firm's next generation.
The Role
As an experienced Associate, you will manage your own caseload from intake through resolution with substantial autonomy, appear regularly in the Family Part, and serve as a mentor and first point of contact for our associates and paralegals. This is a partnership-track position for an attorney seeking long-term growth with a firm investing in its future.
What You'll Do
- Manage an independent docket of family law matters from intake through trial or settlement
- Handle complex divorce matters involving business valuation, executive compensation, self-employed income, real estate, retirement asset division, and alimony analysis
- Litigate custody and parenting time disputes, including matters involving best-interest evaluations, relocation, and parental alienation claims
- Appear at case management conferences, motion practice, Early Settlement Panels, economic mediation, custody/parenting time mediation, plenary hearings, and trial/trial support
- Represent clients in domestic violence proceedings, including temporary and final restraining order hearings
- Handle post-judgment enforcement and modification applications
- Draft and negotiate marital settlement agreements, consent orders, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and custody agreements
- Manage the discovery process, including Case Information Statements, interrogatories, document demands, depositions, and expert coordination
- Maintain consistent client communication and contemporaneous time entries in the firm's case management system
- Participate in business development, client intake and consultations, and referral relationship building
What We're Looking For
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing (Pennsylvania admission is a plus but not required)
- Five or more years of practice with a substantial concentration in New Jersey family law
- Demonstrated Family Part courtroom experience — motion argument, plenary hearings, and trial or significant trial support
- Working command of New Jersey family law practice
- Experience with the Early Settlement Panel process, economic mediation, and custody/parenting time mediation
- Strong financial literacy — comfort reading tax returns, K-1s, business financials, and appraisal and valuation reports
- Excellent written advocacy: certifications, briefs, and agreements that need minimal partner revision
- The judgment and temperament to handle emotionally charged matters with steadiness, discretion, and empathy
- Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management software (MyCase, Clio, or comparable)
- Willingness to mentor — we want someone who makes the attorneys around them better
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $95,000 – $135,000 annually, commensurate with experience, Family Part trial record, and portable business.
- Hours and origination bonus: incentive compensation based on collected fees on matters you originate
Benefits include:
- Health insurance contribution
- Paid time off, paid holidays, and paid sick leave consistent with New Jersey law
- 401(k) retirement plan
- Firm-paid New Jersey attorney annual assessment, bar association dues, and CLE
- Firm-paid malpractice coverage
- Free on-site parking at our Mount Laurel office
- Hybrid/remote flexibility after an initial in-office period

Please submit a cover letter, resume, and a writing sample (a certification, trial brief, or appellate brief you drafted, redacted as necessary) to the firm's hiring contact. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and all inquiries are held in strict confidence.
