DISPATCHER / ROUTER – CANNABIS DELIVERY
JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Overview
Wellgreens Cannabis Delivery is seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Dispatcher/Router to coordinate daily delivery operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately, routed efficiently, and delivered on time while maintaining compliance with all company policies and cannabis regulations.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in logistics or dispatching, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This role serves as the primary point of contact between customers, drivers, and store operations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Dispatching & Routing
- Assign and route delivery orders using Onfleet.
- Monitor driver routes, delivery progress, and estimated arrival times (ETAs).
- Ensure drivers remain on schedule and routes are completed efficiently.
- Communicate with drivers throughout their shifts to address delivery issues, route adjustments, or customer concerns.
- Assist in troubleshooting driver-related issues while on the road.
- Order Management
- Process and manage orders through the Dutchie point-of-sale system.
- Review incoming orders for accuracy and compliance.
- Contact customers to verify order details, delivery address, identification requirements, and any special instructions.
- Obtain customer identification when not already on file.
- Ensure all required documentation and compliance requirements are met before delivery.
- Fulfillment & Operations
- Fulfill customer orders accurately within the store.
- Package and prepare orders for delivery.
- Coordinate order readiness with drivers to maximize delivery efficiency.
- Maintain organization and accuracy throughout the fulfillment process.
- Driver Support & Compliance
- Monitor driver performance and route adherence.
- Ensure drivers are taking required meal and rest breaks.
- Communicate company expectations and operational updates to drivers.
- Serve as a backup delivery driver when operational needs require.
- Customer Service
- Provide professional and friendly customer support via phone and text.
- Resolve customer concerns and delivery issues promptly.
- Deliver a positive customer experience throughout the ordering and delivery process.
- Arrive on time for every shift, in proper uniform, and fully prepared to work
- Demonstrate strong attendance and reliability
- Be a positive, proactive team player who works well with others
- Perform other duties as assigned by Shift Leads, Managers, or Supervisors
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean DMV driving record.
- Must be between the ages of 25 and 65 to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new software systems.
- Previous dispatching, routing, or logistics experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Delivery driver experience.
- Experience using route optimization or dispatch software.
- Experience working in a regulated industry.
- Familiarity with Dutchie, Onfleet, or similar systems.
- Ability to meet and uphold all WELLGREENS standards
Schedule and Availability
- 35-40 hours per week
- Weekend and Holiday availability is required
- Regular days off will typically fall between Monday and Thursday
- Work schedules are released two weeks in advance
- Scheduled hours and days off are subject to change based on business needs and management discretion

Education
- High School diploma or GED (Required)
Physical Demands/Requirements
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 6 hours at a time
- Ability to safely and properly lift and move items up to 50 pounds as required
- Capable of working in a fast-paced and sometimes high-stress retail environment
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Requires medium physical work, including repetitive motions and occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds
- Must be available to work full-time hours (35 to 40 hours per week)
Environmental Conditions
- Occasional work in small or enclosed spaces
- Regular cleaning and maintenance of various areas of the facility, including sales floor, bathrooms, and staff break areas
- Tasks may include dusting, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters, doors, and windows
- Exposure to cleaning products and standard retail environmental conditions
