TITLE: Receiving Coordinator
JOB CLASSIFICATION Non-Exempt, Full-time – 40 hours
DEPARTMENT: Youth Services Division /Montgomery Co.
REPORTS TO: Pantry Supervisor

SUMMARY:
This is a challenging job that requires pro-active thinking, flexibility and communicating well with a team, while balancing multiple priorities. Responsible for unloading and safely storing, consolidating and organizing large food deliveries daily. Coordinates on-site food transportation, sorting, order fulfillment and supplies oversight. Works with Pantry Supervisor to coordinate food delivery preparation and receiving logistics. Assists in inventory management, consolidation, organization, staging, volunteer tasking, pantry cleanliness and overall food pantry operations and client service delivery.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Unloads trucks, breaks down, sorts and stores large deliveries safely and efficiently. ?
· Maintains consistent food organization and consolidation throughout pantry’s dry, cold and frozen storage
· Works collaboratively with the pantry operations team supporting volunteer needs throughout all shifts

Assesses quality and acceptability of all incoming donations/deliveries, including meats & produce
·
Accurately accounts for and submits all daily donation and delivery poundage
·
Pulls/rejects outdated or spoiled deliveries prior to storage, and notifies Directors
· Helps to coordinate food delivery/receiving logistics as needed
·
Completes and submits daily inventory assessment of all fridges, freezers and dry storage
·
Completes and submits Daily Temperature checks
· Coordinates food package order fulfillment with volunteer support during distributions hours
· Assists Pantry Supervisor with inventory management, volunteer support and space optimization
· Assists in daily setup and teardown of pantry distribution, including setting up tables, tents, racks tasking production volunteers, bringing in pallets, and overall cleaning up.
· Assists and oversees daily cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, surface cleaning and sanitization, trash and recycling.
· Assists with home food delivery logistics as needed
· Assist with seasonal deliveries and distributions during Thanksgiving and Christmas as well as various deliveries throughout the year to the center.
· Maintains a positive and professional relationship with co-workers, volunteers, guests, visitors, vendors, consultants, children and parents.
· Performs other duties and tasks, as assigned by Supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Knowledge of and orientation to the philosophy of the Agency as presented in the Mission Statement/Knowledge and adherence to Universal Precautions procedures.
· Ability to be proactive in all tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
· Bilingual Spanish/English fluency preferred
· Driver’s license and own transportation
· Ability to acclimate well to changing tasks and priorities.
· Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with co-workers, clients, and visitors; cultural sensitivity and ability to relate well and effectively in a diverse workplace and with a diverse client population.
· Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
· Ability to lift/carry weighted material of 50 pounds often, 40 pounds regularly
