We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Installation Mechanic to join our team and drive excellence in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration system installations. Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems in commercial and residential settings.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC/R equipment using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical inspection techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and longevity.
- Repair and replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, electrical wiring, plumbing connections, and refrigeration lines.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to execute precise installations.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting using welding techniques, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical systems repair methods.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs or installations performed.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerants and handle ammonia refrigeration systems safely.
- Support building automation system integration for optimal HVAC control and energy efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols clearly to clients.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a strong background in HVAC system installation and repair.
- Service technician experience working with HVAC/R equipment in commercial or residential settings.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, boilers, and building automation systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic instruments.
- Experience troubleshooting HVAC system issues including electrical diagnostics and equipment repair.
- Knowledge of refrigerants including EPA certification for handling refrigerants safely.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with <PERSON> driver standards preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in field service environments involving property maintenance or appliance repair.
