Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Steel Stud Construction Foreman to lead and coordinate all aspects of steel stud framing projects on commercial construction sites. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a key leader on the team, you will oversee crews, manage schedules, interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with all construction safety regulations. Your expertise in construction management software, blueprint reading, and crew supervision will drive project success from start to finish.
Duties
- Lead and supervise steel stud framing crews, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to guide installation processes accurately.
- Manage daily site operations, including safety compliance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations.
- Review construction drawings and technical documents to verify accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Oversee quality control measures, ensuring work meets industry standards and project requirements.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore for documentation, tracking progress, and communication with stakeholders.
- Manage crew assignments, monitor productivity, and provide training or guidance as needed to maintain high performance levels.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to uphold a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, procurement of materials, and contract management to keep projects within scope.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in commercial construction projects involving steel stud framing or similar heavy construction roles.
- Extensive knowledge of construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction schedules accurately.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of construction regulations related to steel framing installation and general site safety practices.
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment with excellent managerial communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with quality control procedures, blueprint review, project scheduling, and managing multiple crews effectively.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in steel stud/metal framing construction
- Previous foreman or lead-framer experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of metal stud framing methods and construction practices
- Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
- Ability to accurately perform layout and measurements
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to work safely while meeting demanding project schedules
- OSHA/safety training is a plus
