We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper/Laundry Worker to join our healthcare facility on the weekends, specifically Saturdays and Sundays. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, and public spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents.
- Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens according to established procedures.
- Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, buffing, or vacuuming to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the facility.
- Follow facility housekeeping management guidelines to ensure consistency in service quality and patient satisfaction.
- Handle chemical agents safely by understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and using personal protective equipment as required during cleaning processes.
- Respond promptly to emergency procedures related to facility operations, including safety incidents or hazardous situations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of janitorial practices.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, industrial cleaning methods, and floor care equipment.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely with familiarity of SDS documentation.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required in cleaning and laundry duties.
- Prior experience managing housekeeping operations within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain cleanliness standards consistently.
