Field Service Technician (Biomedical Training Provided)
Location: Queens, NY (Travel Throughout NY, NJ & CT)
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $24.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus overtime.
Average workweeks include regular overtime, giving technicians the opportunity to significantly increase their annual earnings over their base hourly rate.

HealthEng is an independent biomedical engineering company that inspects, tests, calibrates, maintains, and repairs medical equipment throughout the New York tri-state area.
We're not looking for biomedical experience—we're looking for great technicians. Many of our best team members came from HVAC, industrial maintenance, electronics, automotive, military, and other field service careers. If you have strong troubleshooting skills and a desire to learn, we'll teach you the rest.
What You'll Do
- Travel to healthcare facilities throughout the NY tri-state area.
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair medical equipment.
- Use hand tools, digital multimeters, and specialized test equipment.
- Complete service documentation accurately.
- Provide professional customer service while working independently and as part of a team.
Schedule
- Report to our Queens office at approximately 8:00–8:30 AM before traveling to customer sites.
- Monday through Thursday regularly include overtime based on customer schedules and workload. 10- to 12-hour days are common.
- Your workday ends when the scheduled work is complete or the customer facility closes.
- We finish at approximately 2:00 PM every Friday, with only rare exceptions.

Qualifications
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams or technical manuals.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to qualify under the company's automobile insurance policy.
- Willingness to travel throughout the NY tri-state area.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to:
- Push equipment carts weighing up to 200 pounds.
- Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work around equipment throughout the day.
Essential job functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
