Help Wanted -Kitchen Manager
Kitchen Manager Position Overview:
Perform Kitchen Manager duties in a fast pace environment for Wedgewood Cove. This position requires a passion for excellence and quality of food and presentation. Must have excellent leadership, people, and problem solving skills. Will be in charge of all staff in the kitchen.
Kitchen Manager Job Duties:
- Manage all kitchen staff
- Establish a good relationship with suppliers
- Manage sanitation, health and safety standards in kitchen work areas
- Make sure all food orders are being properly delivered with consistency
- Make certain all food is being stored correctly and make corrections when necessary
- Properly train all kitchen staff on preparation of recipes
- Properly train all kitchen staff on health and safety in the workplace
- Properly train all kitchen staff on how to comply with Wedgewood Cove’s personal hygiene and uniform policies
- Attend team meetings as required
- Assist scheduling of kitchen staff
- Calculate and decide on food portions to be served
Kitchen Manager / Qualifications:
- Leadership / Management skills
- Either have or are able to acquire a CFPM certification within 60 days of hire
- Supply management, delegation, staffing, supervision, reporting skills
- The ability to stand for several hours at a time, lifting, bending, and stretching
- The ability to read and understand instructions
- The ability to take direction from the Executive Chef
Educations: Management education / High school education or equivalent
Work Experience: Prefer 4 years of management experience in a restaurant type setting
Job Type: Full-time – Salary
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year depending on education and experience
